SAT student results

The jump from diagnostic to Decision Day.

Every KollegePrep student starts with a real diagnostic SAT. Here’s how far our students moved between that first number and the official superscore that went to colleges.

Figures reflect the average and best individual changes between each student’s diagnostic SAT and their official final superscore. They describe SAT outcomes only. Past results do not guarantee a particular score — every student starts from a different place.

How we do it

A number is the output. This is the method.

None of this works without the first step. A real diagnostic turns 'I need a better score' into a specific list of skills, and everything after it is aimed at that list rather than at the test in general.

  1. 1Diagnostic

Start with a real score, not a guess

Every student begins with a full-length diagnostic SAT in the same adaptive format as the real test. That first number is the baseline every later decision is measured against.

  2. 2Diagnose

Find where the marks actually are

The score report breaks the result down by section and skill, so the plan targets the questions being missed rather than re-teaching what is already solid.

  3. 3Teach

    Personalized sessions with experienced teachers

Sessions are built around that student’s level, goals and weak spots, taught by educators who make sure concepts are understood deeply rather than memorised.

  4. 4Practise

    Assignments after every topic

Regular practice after each topic turns a concept that was just explained into one that holds up under time pressure.

  5. 5Measure

    Monthly assessments and feedback

Tests and feedback sessions every month show whether the plan is working, and keep parents informed rather than guessing.

  6. 6Rehearse

Full-length tests in the real interface

Timed modules, a break between sections, Mark for Review, the answer eliminator and a built-in graphing calculator — so test day is a repeat of something already done, not a first.

Step one is free, and it takes one sitting. Everything on this page is measured from that first score.

FAQ

Questions about our results

On average, 269 points. Our students average 1183 on their diagnostic SAT and 1452 on the official superscore that goes to colleges — a 23% improvement. That average is taken across every student who has sat a diagnostic with us and gone on to a final score.

The largest total jump on record is 400 points from diagnostic to final score, and the largest percentage improvement is 36%. The highest superscore any KollegePrep student has achieved is 1560, with section bests of 790 in Math and 770 in English.

Math, by a clear margin. Math averages 587 on the diagnostic and 748 on the final superscore, a gain of 161 points. English averages 596 and 704, a gain of 108. Math tends to move faster because its content is finite and highly practisable, while English gains build more slowly through accumulated reading skill. The largest single-section jump we have recorded is 260 points, and that has been matched in both sections.

Each figure compares two real scores for the same student: the full-length diagnostic SAT they take with KollegePrep at the start, and the official superscore they finally report to colleges. Nothing is modelled or estimated. Because every student starts from a different place, past results do not guarantee a particular score.

No. Every figure on this page is SAT only — diagnostic SAT to final SAT superscore. KollegePrep also teaches ACT, AP, IB Diploma, IB MYP, IGCSE and A Levels, but those programmes are not represented in these numbers.

By starting from a real diagnostic rather than a guess, then targeting the specific skills the score report flags. Personalized sessions with experienced teachers cover the weak spots, assignments after each topic make the learning stick, monthly assessments check the plan is working, and full-length practice tests in the same interface as the real exam mean test day is a repeat of something already rehearsed.

Yes. The diagnostic is a free, full-length adaptive SAT with an instant score report, and it needs no card details. It is also the starting point for everything else — the plan, and the baseline your improvement is measured against.
